The National Weather Service has issued a issued an advisory for southern Lee County for strong thunderstorms with nearly continuous lightning.
Boat crash leads to human smuggling investigation

Deputies say an illegal smuggling operation in Lee County all started with a boat crash early Wednesday morning near the Sanibel Causeway, followed by the discovery of a second boat in Saint James City.
